The Arrow of God

The Arrow of God

The Lord of Calvary, I am here on my knees
My heart trembles in joy in your presence
Always guided my footsteps,
My bridge, my redeemer, my midnight protection

I am your arrow, oh lord, I am  an arrow oh Lord
Etched on the bow the frame of Faith
Etched on the bow the frame Your true word,
Lord you are my launching pad
I am your Arrow Oh Lord direct me where you wish.

As an arrow oh Lord Jesus,
Help me prepare for challenges ahead,
You have not promised an easy road
But you set my foot
 On firm foundation of Calvary
On the Cross my sins forgiven
Where you won the battles of this world.

But I know oh Lord Jesus
Like an arrow
I must be sharpened
By your word
In your faith
To be propelled
I must concur, face my fears,
And be prepared
Pulled backwards, like an arrow to be propelled
Aiming higher targeting heaven
My destination home.

I am your arrow oh Lord
Travelling at speed of Faith
In this world,
Judge me not
For I am an arrow of God
Seeking your Holy face
I am your Arrow Oh Lord direct me where you wish.

'The Parking Lot'

'The Parking Lot'

The World has millions of Parking spots, in USA alone over 40 Million hectares are reserved for Parking alone. Some relationships are like neon lights on and off, be careful you might be in parking lot all this time, only to be driven when the world says its time for Valentine and other 'special' occasions. You know what follows with time of immobility, clogs, tire blow out, brake pads torn, overheating and eventually engine knock. Then you stall in the backyard parking lot of used cars.....and you must pay for the parking space...towing fee ....and tickets you accumulated along the way running red lights...buzzed driving... .interesting you say...... all this and yet you've got to deal with your past first before you confront the present and dream of the future.....You are lucky because those who drove on express highways in total disregards of pause buttons along the way ..are six foot under....yes you are still alive if you are reading this, its not all lost! You have a chance to fix your love and relationship. Instead of towing your love along the highways of life.. ..take 'it' to the nearest love workshop for a major fix. You have to be patient with the expert as he runs diagnosis and projects the road map ahead. To begin a new chapter you must conclusively close the former.....so that we don't re-awaken the Ghosts of former Valentines ...Happy Valentines People ....This is original work and thoughts from Njoroge wa Ngige upcoming novel 'The Parking Lot'....your suggestions, thoughts and comments are most welcome...

Consciousness of the Heart

#Consciousness of the heart is Is desernment, consciousness of the mind is the reality the tatalty of truth that's sets one free. If one has both at the same time you become a sage, out of this wolrd doing ordinary things extraordinarily. For such love becomes a commandment not a fulfilment of void to be filled by someone. If you love the other you have done your part. The other has no obligation to love love you back, because some vessels are sailing empty they will need to be filled up. Once they get filled up they will express freely that they have so received. Those who love never run empty. They have enough to last beyond generations and their rivers of joy run deep. The Yawning City

Because we are calling it a town and the city yawns yawns yawns yawns" Before it pukes us to Nairobi river and then we commit billions to clean our own Sh^~t by planting a concrete tree. Never mind the only equal rights between the have notes n the have nots Is expressed both on the same sewer line, clog n flow under the same viscosity and velocity. Stinks the same distinct flaw of smell that bides us together at the belly, behaves the same like Siemens twins joined at the hip, instead of heart n the conscious mind. ........anyway my point is....hahah..the rate at which buy cars does not much exponentially to infrastructure developement. Check this out instead of building and expanding roads and railways the government buys 4x4. Puts crazy idiotic sirens to clear the smitten, who happens to be shy because they were not ones beaten but twice or more bitten to the bitterness of the sweet herbs.

‘The Grafenberg Spot’

Passage of rite: in Gikuyu Tribe-Kenya
‘The Grafenberg Spot’

Years ago in my Gikuyu society the tradition was that your father had a duty to pay the dowry for his sons. It was premised on the fact that the young needed help to start a home so as to carry the mantle of generation from his dad. A young man was considered poor.  He had no property such as land, livestock or burn full of harvests.  As soon as the young man reached the age of marriage and had been initiated to adulthood through circumcision as passage of rite, the society prepared in ernest for his start of new family.
In some cases the family chose the suitor for their daughter or son in some instances the young man had to rove his eyes and cast his net wider for a catch of a fine girl in the village. The young lad would formally inform his family of his intentions so that they speak on his behalf.  In those days my grandmother tells me that they used to go dancing in particular locations. Dance whole night both male and female and there was no issue of promiscuity. Sex was considered a taboo. Unwanted and  out of wedlock pregnancies were rare. My 91 years grandmother further narrates to me that they would even sleep together after sweaty dancing night exhausted and nobody could dare enter into copulation, or as she puts it ‘touch each other’. In today’s measure any inch of closeness to opposite sex  among our youth is heavily punctuated with lots of kisses and a hand in the cookie jar. Long time ago virginity for both sexes was highly valued and so jealously guarded. In todays ‘red light district’ villages doting our globe you only require a one night stand and ‘pap’ hymen is broken on the concrete. The poor girl will be pinned against a violently graphited wall full of vulgar and profanity riddled with bullets holes, cartridges of suspicious street urchins, busted condoms over the rusted cans of hard liquor and overdose needles protruding on the pavement.  In other  words we have  even glorified  a one night stand to “I need a quickie”. If you happen to be a virgin today most likely you will be tormented and bullied in the peer pressure circles as a jerk. If you happen to be a faithful married man or woman you will be viewed with an absurdity from hell  like dah are you real. You are old fashioned. Indeed family is under attack as we once knew it. As my grandmother pours me another cup of tea she tells me, ‘My son, virginity in our days was broken on white linen under the comfort of fine sheep or cow hide. Throughout history, there have been cultures that forbid sexual activity outside of marriage; some of these have considered an "intact" hymen "proof" of purity. Since hymens come in so many shapes and forms, it's important to realize that the hymen is not a reliable indicator of whether a person has been sexually active or not. This is especially true since for some women, the hymen can be stretched or torn by fingers or tampons.

Sex out of wedlock or in youth if it so happened there were heavy fines to pay.  Sex was well taught during initiation ceremonies to adulthood. Knowledge on gender and sexuality was imparted from well informed sources by chosen elders. Aunts and uncles played a central role in this too. For one to enter adulthood there was an elaborate passage of rite that it apex was circumcision.   Both boys and girls one had to seek permission from either uncle or Aunt depending on ones sex. In today’s ‘digital generation’ source of; misinformation’ is internet, ‘celebrity’ and media personalities. These sources however useful in today’s life impose their opinions to unsuspecting perhaps ignorant mind that what they preach is gospel truth. I think I have waded off too far, technology and family is a topic for another day. Nevertheless, families were vetted and a judicial process of elimination on the basis of morals upheld. Fame, wealth, creativity and hard work were merits to be considered. All this virtues were moral yardstick used to determine which girl or boy was the best suitor and from which family. The son’s dad will lead a delegation of seasoned ‘wazee’ Elders to start wedding and dowry negotiations. There after Ngemi (Allulations) will be heard across the valleys as the drums of big occasion became launder.

The Three Cries of Life

The Three Cries of Life

I was born with my eyes closed, when I opened them
I wish I could shut em' for what I saw..
I was born with fists clenched, A cry of freedom,
Ready to fight my adversaries,
As I fought the many battles imagined or otherwise,
I released my fortune my mouth open,
When I closed my mouth, I transferred my freedom to the neighbors yard,
When I opened my mouth again, I was told I cant press my thoughts on,
That I was sane in an insane world,
for me to survive had to be insane in sane rules

I was born with my ears open,
To listen to drums of wisdom
Along the way they were waxed with lies and hucksterism of life
with involuntary reconstructive surgery, that I paid for not,
Everything I had is gone
Only the three echoes remain
The cry when I was born,
Nobody asked me why I cried,
When I hesitated to cry
A quick midwifery spanking followed,
The matron instantly aroused the pain senses
The doctor inflicted pain in his injections as she  increased doses
The legal became illegal,
The alien became a veteran
The cry of Joy when I got Married,
Before the bliss of procreation,
Allulations followed a sweet painful cry,
memories of both remain,
even with no visible signs,

When I breathed my last,
I cried again,
They cried with me
This time alone,
No spanking to stop crying,
As I Met my Creator,
He did the Talking,
Showed me around
While I remained eternally silent.
The three noises I made were over.
Only three Echoes remained
Birth,Love and Death
Produced that noise,
A distinct noise,
Make your noise,
Before your silence.

The Reality of life

The Reality of life is as raw and cruel as unpredictable weather. We waste allot of time in life trying to predict the weather instead of  being the weather itself. Change with seasons don't be static, its only the flowing river that sparks electricity by turning the turbines of fortune. Timing is everything. Everything is Time. The natural forces must be in equilibrium with your clear intent for the rainbow to form in the horizon.  You can be the river that feeds the ocean,  a tributary that drains in a mighty river or the ocean that vapors the sky, The choice is yours, please do something.  Have a clear day!

Wanibonyeza

Wanibonyeza

Wanibonyeza bonyeza, Nasibonyezeki
Wandengua kiuno chenza, Nahundenguliki
Waniangalia kwanza, kisha hushughuliki
Wakumbuka kule Mwanza?, mbavu haziliki

Kitoeo chako tamu, Langu ghamu kwa hamu
Naja kwako tabasamu, Tunda lako tamu hamu
Nahema nikitabasamu, Kiu kamaliza hamu
Chanzo chema cha jiuzu , Kibaya chajitembezu

Lako Pendo kesha vuna, Kanipakulia kashiba
Lako pendo najivuna, kocho kocho hino shaba
Lako Pendo liKavuma, Nami papa baharini
Mawimbi nikafyeka fyeka, Nawe chafya ukibweka

Miaka tisa kahitimu, Katoa Kitambulisho
Lako Pango kahitimu, Pango la kando ni la hasha
Tundu letu tulilinde, Mifereji kunyunyizia

Nalo pendo lako liko, Kila siku hino taka

Trail of Truth!

Trail of Truth!
Its not true
What they tell you
what they say is truth
its not true
what's true is in their say
what the don't tell you

What you don't hear is truth
that crawls like Snail Leaving trail.
